Donald Jones, Digital Health Pioneer, Joins Sentrian Board

ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Jan. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sentrian™, the Remote Patient Intelligence™ company aspiring to eliminate all preventable hospitalization, today announced that Donald Jones, a globally recognized leader in digital medicine, has joined the Board of Directors for the company. 

Jones is the CEO of Trial Fusion, a company focused on clinical validation and commercializing digital health products and services and is the Chief Digital Officer of the Scripps Translational Science Institute, where he works with the renowned Eric Topol, MD on the convergence of genomics and wireless health. He helped found Scripps Digital Medicine, the world's first clinical trial center focused on digital health. For 11 he led Wireless Health Global Strategy and Business Development for Qualcomm. He is Founder and Chairman of the Wireless Life Sciences Alliance. Working with the XPRIZE Foundation and Qualcomm's CEO, Jones conceived the $10 million Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE, a global competition for a consumer device which makes medical diagnoses. Jones was a founding board member of the West Wireless Health Institute (now West Health Institute) with Dr. Topol and philanthropists Gary and Mary West, raising over $100 million. CommNexus, the San Diego nonprofit industry group, recognized Jones as 2014 Digital Health Innovator of the Year.
