doTERRA Supports MS Society of Canada by Donating to the 2016 Freedom Ride to End MS

PLEASANT GROVE, Utah, March 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The 7th Annual Freedom Ride to End MS held in Kitchener, Ontario, marked the MS Society of Canada's seventh year of raising money for multiple sclerosis (MS) with a fundraiser that consists of a community motorcycle ride through the back country of Canada. Teams of riders raised pledge money to help fundraise for people in the Kitchener community suffering with multiple sclerosis. doTERRA International donated a gift basket for the raffle held at the Freedom Ride. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward funding for programs and services for individuals with MS, as well as medical equipment and even research that could help find a cure for MS. 

Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system, typically causing nerve inflammation and damage. Individuals who suffer from MS experience symptoms like weakness, fatigue, problems with vision, bladder issues, and even cognitive problems or changes in mood. As a physically taxing disease, MS can take a serious emotional (and financial) toll on those who live with it daily—not to mention the physical symptoms it can produce. 

The MS Society of Canada organizes fundraisers—like the Freedom Ride—year-round to help raise money for those struggling with MS in Canada.
