Dots Receives Cleveland Plain Dealer's 2011 Top Workplaces Award

GLENWILLOW, Ohio, June 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The national women's specialty apparel retailer, Dots, was recently recognized as a top employer in Northeast Ohio and named to Cleveland Plain Dealer's Top Workplaces list for the second year in a row.

The "Top Workplaces" list identifies the leading workplaces with at least 50 employees in the Cleveland area based upon the opinions of the employees.  To rank the top mid-sized companies, The Plain Dealer administered a 24-question survey to employees, who answered questions related to their company's direction, ability to execute, career opportunities, manager competence, pay and benefits.  The results were published in Sunday's edition of The Plain Dealer.

The rankings of the Top Workplaces are based on survey information collected by Workplace Dynamics, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention.  The survey measured six different categories including: direction, management, execution, workplace conditions, career opportunities, and pay and benefits.  The survey results were compared to the survey results of other companies in the same size category.  

To qualify for the Top Workplaces list, a company must have at least 50 employees.  Rankings were composite scores calculated purely on the basis of employee responses.
