BOSTON, Sept. 15, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- E-commerce company Dough announced today consumers can now shop hundreds of products from women-owned and led companies and make purchases directly on its website, joindough.com. Introduced in 2019 as a curated directory enabling the discovery of a diverse network of small businesses helmed by women, the update represents the latest chapter in Dough's evolution and enables the company to streamline operations and continue to foster its community of sellers while ensuring a premium shopping experience.

Amid shutdowns and with many consumers spending significantly more time at home, online shopping has soared. According to research by Adobe Analytics, online sales in the U.S. hit $73.2 billion in June, up more than 76% year-over-year. That surge is anticipated to hold steady through the end of 2020, with approximately 3 out of 4 Americans planning to make more than half of their holiday gift purchases online. The current climate has also influenced Americans' decisions not just regarding where they spend, but who their dollars support.
