Douglas L. Braunstein and James C. Woolery Found Investment Management Firm Hudson Executive Capital

NEW YORK, Jan. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Douglas L. Braunstein, former Vice Chairman, JPMorgan Chase & Co., and James C. Woolery, former Chairman-elect, Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, today announced the formation of Hudson Executive Capital LP. The Firm has been formed to identify opportunities where actionable strategic and corporate finance solutions can drive returns through Constructive Engagement with managements, boards and shareholders. The Founding Partners' strategic and operational experience, corporate finance expertise and extensive network of relationships will be directed towards value-oriented investment opportunities in industry verticals representing more than 80% of the S&P 500.

The founding members of the Firm include 14 CEO Partners, who together with Mr. Braunstein and Mr. Woolery, are committing approximately $250 million in capital to the Firm's business. The CEO Partners will form the Firm's Advisory Board and together bring over 200 years of public company CEO experience and service on the boards of 68 public companies across the Firm's key industry verticals. The CEO Partners are: Douglas Bergeron, Marc Casper, Darwin Deason, Fred Eshelman, Joseph Gromek, William Harrison, Stephen Hemsley, Ernest Mario, John McGlade, Alan Miller, Howard Milstein, Paul Ormond, Ivan Seidenberg and Douglas Steenland.
