Douglass Alsop Joins SUNZ as National Claims Manager

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Aug. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Douglass Alsop has joined SUNZ Insurance, headquartered in St. Petersburg, Fla., as the new national claims manager. Alsop will be an associate to the senior management unit.

Chief Operations Officer Glen J. Distefano is forming a diverse group of reputable managers with an attractive record of accomplishments. Alsop came to SUNZ from ADVANTEC as the director of risk management and claim operations, holding that position from 2002 to 2011. During this time, Alsop was responsible for managing and overseeing the workers' compensation claims process for over 500 client employers in the PEO industry. Before ADVANTEC, Alsop worked with Ward North America, Inc., and held other various leadership roles at Scott Wetzel Services, Inc.

With 32 years of experience in insurance and marketing, Alsop brings a wide range of valued wisdom to the role of national claims manager. Alsop received his Master of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University, and served on the National Advisory Board for AIG IntelliRisk.
