Mother of invention
Dovetail Workwear is the brainchild of moms Kate Day, Kyle Begley, and Sara DeLuca. After meeting on the PTA, Kate and Kyle launched a landscaping company but couldn't find pants that met their fit, function, and durability needs. Enter Sara, another PTA mom and also a veteran of the apparel industry... What began as a labor of love is now the largest exclusively women's workwear company in the US and Canada. As Kate puts it, "we make the pants nobody would make for us."

Maven Maternity was extensively tested by professional—in this case, pregnant—women in the field. Early prototypes were passed along from expecting mother to mother. Their feedback helped refine the design.
Work like a mother
Maven Maternity is the latest offering by DoveLab, the incubator for Dovetail Workwear's most innovative new products. First delivery run of maternity pants stock was slated for spring 2020, but Covid-19 supply chain delays have pushed the shipping date to September. Says Co-Founder Kyle Marie Begley: "We decided to break the news in time for Mother's Day, since our customers have been asking for this for years. I'm thinking there are going to be a few more babies around after quarantine. Maven Maternity will be here when their moms need her most."
