Dr. Bimal Shah Joins Livongo to Lead Hypertension Product

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Sept. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Livongo Health, the leading consumer digital health company focused on empowering all people with chronic conditions to live healthier and happier lives, announced today the addition of Dr. Bimal Shah, MD, MBA, FACC, a practicing non-invasive cardiologist, as Senior Vice President for Clinical and Strategic Partnerships. This appointment supports Livongo's expansion to hypertension and the increasing demand to provide solutions for people living with multiple chronic conditions.

As Senior Vice President for Clinical and Strategic Partnerships, Dr. Shah will provide clinical guidance on Livongo's hypertension product. Shah will also advance Livongo's key ecosystem relationships.

Previously, Dr. Shah was the Chief Officer for Emerging Technology and Informatics at Premier Inc., (NASDAQ: PINC). Prior to Premier, Dr. Shah served as an Assistant Professor in both the Department of Medicine and Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Dr. Shah remains on faculty at Duke as a practicing cardiologist and serves as a member of both the Board of Advisors for the Duke School of Nursing and Board of Visitors for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Dr. Shah graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Chemistry, with highest honors, and earned both an MD and MBA from Duke University. Dr. Shah completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford University before finishing a general cardiology fellowship at Duke University.
