Dr. Haggman's passion was in the prevention of Sudden Cardiac Death, and he became involved in several landmark clinical trials involving implantable defibrillators. Furthermore, he is affiliated with the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Internists, and American College of Cardiology.
In 1984, he was awarded the Peskind Fellowship Award at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation for his work in clinical research. In addition, the International Association of Healthcare Professionals has chosen Dr. Haggman to represent Cardiology in their publication "The Leading Physicians of the World". His selection is a significant representation of his passion and dedication for the field of Cardiology.
Dr. Haggman received his degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
