With over thirty years of experience in the healthcare industry, Dr. Ridout is a trusted authority on all aspects of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Ridout's professional experience began as an Internist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this position, he realized his passion for working in the field of Gastroenterology and decided to pursue this subset further. Throughout his time in Philadelphia, Dr. Ridout was inspired by working with the minority community in underserved areas, and continued on his mission to serve the general public with the highest quality medical care possible.

In his spare time, he enjoys listening to music, boating, choral singing, and conducting choirs. Throughout his educational career, Dr. Ridout earned his MD from the University of Cincinnati and attained Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. As a result of his dedication and professionalism, Dr. Ridout serves as a Fellow with the American College of Physicians, and is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association. In addition, Dr. Ridout extends his scope of interest to the community at large, maintaining charitable ties to the Sylvia Olden Music Guild, American Cancer Society, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the National Association of Negro Musicians, Inc.
Dr. Ridout is also involved with the Arts Council Eastern Shore of Virginia Advisory Board where he utilizes a community- based business model for new ventures at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center.
