Dr. John Noack Installed as President of Minnesota Dental Association

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. John Noack has been installed as president of the Minnesota Dental Association (MDA) for the 2026-2027 term. He was installed during the Association's Leadership Conference in Shoreview.

Dr. Noack brings over three decades of experience in dentistry, along with a longstanding commitment to organized dentistry, professional advocacy, and community service.

A native of Arlington, Minnesota, Dr. Noack earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Saint John's University in 1990 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1994.

Following dental school, Dr. Noack served as a captain in the United States Air Force. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Travis Air Force Base in California before serving at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany. After completing his military service, he returned to Minnesota and has practiced general dentistry in Northfield since 1998.

Dr. Noack has been actively involved in organized dentistry throughout his career, serving in numerous leadership roles at both the state and national levels. He has served as president of the Southeast District Dental Society, as a trustee and officer of the Minnesota Dental Association, and as a delegate to the American Dental Association House of Delegates. He has also served on numerous MDA committees, including Legislative Affairs, Dental Education, Peer Review, Evidence-Based Dentistry, and Affinity Products.

In addition to his professional involvement, Dr. Noack has a strong history of service in the Northfield area community. He has served on the Northfield Youth Baseball Association board, chaired the Northfield Booster Club, volunteered as a Cub Scout leader, and served on the Education and Endowment Committees at the Church of St. Dominic. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus and has volunteered with Health Finders, Donated Dental Services, and the Minnesota Mission of Mercy, providing dental care to underserved and uninsured patients.

As MDA president, Dr. Noack plans to focus on strengthening member engagement, addressing workforce challenges, advocating for Minnesota dentists and their patients, and ensuring that the profession continues to have a strong voice on issues affecting oral health and access to dental care.
