Dr. Kathleen Arnn Named Headmaster of Founders Classical Academy(SM) of Leander

Arnn will head the new classical academy in Leander, TX.

LEANDER, Texas, Nov. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Responsive Education Solutions^(SM) (ResponsiveEd) announced today that Dr. Kathleen Arnn will become the founding Headmaster of Founders Classical Academy in Leander, Texas. Arnn is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Affairs at Morehead State University.

Arnn has a passion for classical education, as her schooling and career shows. She has taught courses in political philosophy and American political thought, and presented several academic papers, including "Justice in Aristotle's Politics and Nicomachean Ethics" and "Cicero and Augustine on Faith, Reason, and the Best Life."

Founders Classical Academies are the first classical charter schools in Texas created as a result of collaboration between Hillsdale College's Barney Charter School Initiative and ResponsiveEd. Through this initiative, the College supports the launch of K-12 charter schools. These schools follow a classical liberal arts model and have a strong civics component that will equip students to understand and defend the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

Most recently, she wrote and defended her dissertation: Happiness and the Political Life: Aristotle on Magnanimity, Justice, and Prudence.
