Dr. Kelly Huang Becomes an NACD Fellow

WASHINGTON, Feb. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) is pleased to announce that Dr. Kelly Huang of Spindletop Capital has become an NACD Fellow, the highest level of credentialing for corporate directors and corporate governance professionals. As an NACD Fellow, Dr. Huang has demonstrated his knowledge of the leading trends and practices that define exemplary corporate governance today and has committed to developing professional insights through a sophisticated course of ongoing study.

With over 20 years of healthcare experience, Dr. Huang brings extensive experience leading global businesses through the integration of scientific, consumer, and professional insights to create value.  Currently, Dr. Huang serves as an Operating Partner for Spindletop Capital, a healthcare focused private equity firm based in Austin, TX.  Prior to Spindletop, Dr. Huang was a member the Executive Committee for Endo Pharmaceuticals, a publically traded healthcare company.  Specifically, he was directly accountable for leadership and performance of the HealthTronics subsidiary.  Prior to joining Endo, Dr. Huang spent 16 years with Johnson & Johnson in various leadership roles globally.  He obtained his Doctorate and Masters' degrees in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University in California. He also holds a Bachelors' degree in Chemical Engineering, with a minor in Chemistry, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
