Dr. Matthew Lopresti Named Chief Surgeon of Leonard Hair Transplant Associates

NEWTON CENTRE, Mass., Jan. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Robert Leonard, Founder of Leonard Hair Transplant Associates (LHTA), announced today that Dr. Matthew Lopresti has been named Chief Surgeon of LHTA, which specializes in the practice of medical and hair restoration surgery.  Dr. Lopresti joined the practice as an associate surgeon in 2013.

Dr. Robert Leonard will remain with the practice as Founder and transplant surgeon and will continue to consult with patients and perform procedures on a slightly reduced schedule.

Dr. Lopresti has trained exclusively with Dr. Leonard in the art and science of hair restoration surgery for the last five years. Lopresti, a Malden, Mass., native, is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and earned his Doctorate from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of New England.  He completed his medical internship at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Pennsylvania, his residency at Boston Medical Center, and his fellowship at Harvard Medical School.  Dr. Lopresti is a noted expert in the follicular unit extraction (FUE) technique, where hair follicles are individually harvested from the donor area to ultimately create a natural looking transplant result.
