How KAMRA Works
During the 20-minute procedure, a mini-ring smaller and thinner than a contact lens is inserted under the surface of the cornea over the pupil. The ring directs light through the narrow opening, and focuses it precisely on the retina for clear near vision. No stitches are required, and the patient is treated with prescription drops to aid in healing.
