DR® Power Equipment Launches New Entry Models in Core Product Lines for Spring 2013

VERGENNES, Vt., Feb. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In an effort to attract a new segment of younger buyers, DR Power Equipment recently announced its plans to create new lower horsepower models which will compete directly with those offered at box stores like Home Depot and Sears. Product lines affected by this change include the DR Trimmer/Mower, the DR Field and Brush Mower (walk and tow behind lines), and the DR Roto-Hog tillers.

DR Power Equipment, which built its brand offering high quality power equipment to home owners is taking a more competitive stance in the marketplace for 2013. Fully intending to still offer the best quality equipment for the homeowner, DR is now widening its offering to make its products more accessible to more people.

• DR^® 12.5 Premier Field and Brush Mower (Tow-behind model has a 12.5 HP Briggs & Stratton engine and cuts 4-foot high grass, 8-foot high weeds and brush, and up to 1-inch thick saplings.  Currently priced at $1,999.99)
• DR^® Premier Roto-Hog^TM Power Tiller (Tow-behind unit features a Briggs & Stratton OHV engine and 12 steel bolo tines.  Manual lever allows changes to tilling depth.  Currently priced at $1,499.99)
