Dr. Samir Pancholi Announces 2015 Launching Las Vegas Nominees

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Samir Pancholi is pleased to announce the 2015 Launching Las Vegas nominees. The first annual Launching Las Vegas Award was created to celebrate and honor the hard work and commitment local startup companies and entrepreneurs devote to helping Vegas shine as a hub for business.

"More and more companies are choosing Vegas to headquarter their new businesses or are moving existing businesses here," says Dr. Pancholi. "Las Vegas generally has a tourism-based economy, so it's great to have different types of businesses bringing variety, innovations, and alternative employment opportunities to our area."

The winner of the 2015 Launching Las Vegas award will be chosen by the community via an online voting system, open October 26, 2015 through November 13, 2015. Users will be able to vote for their favorite startup company once per day through the duration of the contest. The winner of the 2015 Launching Las Vegas Award will receive a $1,000 cash prize, and the runner-up will be awarded $250.

But Dr. Pancholi says the award money is secondary to raising awareness. "It is my hope that we will encourage people in our community to engage with these businesses and give each of these innovators extra recognition," he says. "We hand-picked these nominees for their innovative ideas and look forward to seeing them grow and add diversity to our local economy."

This year, five nominees have been selected for the contest: Charitweet, Stitch Factory, Mint Locker, Find Veggies, and Trailermade. All nominees offer a unique service, but share a dedication to improving our local community through economic growth.
