Dr. Sharon L. Van Sell is recognized by Continental Who's Who

With over fifty years of nursing experience under her belt, Dr.  Van Sell is a trailblazing ground-breaking researcher who is a visionary, master teacher, and well venerated author of several peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Van Sell is a strong proponent of the four dimensions of scholarship of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing which includes Complexity integration nursing theory, Teaching, Application, and Integration. Throughout her career, Dr. Van Sell has attained extensive expertise in the areas of nursing administration, nursing research, and nursing education. When asked her advice to newcomers in the industry, Dr. Van Sell states that you must "have the desire to help others, advanced education, and the application of knowledge and experience."

Throughout her educational endeavors, Dr. Van Sell attained her Ed.D. in Guidance and Counseling at the University of Denver in 1986. In her previous years, Dr. Van Sell attained her Master of Science degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Colorado in 1985. Dr. Van Sell would also earn her M.Ed. in Health Education from Memphis State University in 1971. She attained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Murray State University in 1968. In her current capacity, Dr. Van Sell is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Nursing and Clinical.     

An elitist in her own right who has obtained a long list of certifications, Dr. Van Sell is a distinguished fellow of several organizations including the Senior Fellow Higher Education Academy, Professional Designation Academy of Healthcare Management in Washington, DC, and is a Reiki Practitioner, Level II Certified, through the Reiki Association in 1993.
