DSWE Appoints Daniel Hubbard as Director of Sales for Merchants New York & New Jersey Wholesale Divisions

NEW YORK, Dec. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Domaine Select Wine Estates, a Manhattan based wine & spirits Import and Distribution Company announces the appointment of Daniel Hubbard as Director of Sales for the Domaine Select Merchants (DSM) New York and New Jersey wholesale division. Hubbard will assume this newly created role effective January 2012 and will work with Founders Allison & Paolo Domeneghetti in the continued development of this division of DSWE. 

Allison Domeneghetti, co-Founder and COO of DSWE, previously managed the day-to-day sales and operations of the DSM division and she will continue to act as President of the Merchants Division. Hubbard, as Director of Sales will provide additional leadership, increasing support and direction for this dynamic part of the company, which has seen double-digit growth in the past two years.

Hubbard joined DSWE in 2002 as a Fine Wine Specialist in Manhattan.  He quickly grew a territory of key accounts and within two years became the top level Specialist on the team.  By mid 2003, Daniel began realizing his passion for Austrian and German wines by working closely with Paolo Domeneghetti to begin building what is now one of the most significant Austrian portfolios imported into the U.S. market. In 2007, Hubbard expanded that scope to include Germany. Today Daniel continues to manage the Austrian/German portfolio nationally and has seen tremendous success in its development in over 39 markets across the U.S.  In 2006 Daniel was promoted to Regional Manager for the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. where he has overseen DSWE's distribution channels in 7 States with 16 distributors, and he has led this territory to growth by nearly 100% in the last 5 years.  Prior to joining DSWE Daniel was the German teacher including as a Fulbright Teaching Scholar in Graz, Austria.

Upon Hubbard's return to Metro New York next month, the management of the Mid-Atlantic Region for DSWE will be assumed by Anne Hay.  Hay joined DSWE as Mountain/Desert Regional Manager in 2010 (based in Denver) and relocated to Washington D.C. this past September, in anticipation of assuming responsibility of the Mid-Atlantic territory for DSWE.  She has been working closely with Hubbard for the past 3 months to ensure a seamless transition of the business in the region.  Prior to joining the DSWE team, Hay has seen a successful career in the industry spanning a period of 10 years where she held positions as Sales Specialist with Southern Wines & Spirits of Colorado followed by promotion to Regional Manager for Majestic Fine Wines in the Mountain & Desert region.
