DK-NFLNK™ is AFE agnostic and provides a simple upgrade path from traditional wired or far field wireless BMS architectures to a highly scalable and robust battery communication solution with no change required to the battery architecture. DK-NFLNK eliminates traditional wiring and fault prone connectors with a single bus antenna and offers synchronous, module-level measurements from the AFEs to the BMS host using Dukosi's proprietary contactless communication protocol based on C-SynQ^®. Dukosi's DK-NFLNK is an intra-battery communication solution that consists of the DK8503 Node chip, DK8203 System Hub chip, the Dukosi API, and Dukosi's proprietary contactless communication protocol based on C-SynQ^®. DK-NFLNK creates a contactless communication channel between the Battery Management System (BMS) Host processor and a traditional multi-channel Analog Front End (AFE). The DK8503 Node interfaces directly with the AFE via a standard SPI connection and is AFE agnostic. DK-NFLNK transfers data to and from each AFE and the BMS Host processor via the Dukosi DK8203 System Hub through a single bus antenna. The near field communication implementation minimizes RF power levels, simplifying mechanical integration considerations. With inherent electrical isolation through the contactless network, DK-NFLNK delivers wired-like performance in a reliable star-network. The same BMS host processor and DK8203 System Hub can be reused across multiple battery pack designs. A common DK-NFLNK library and API support all configurations minimizing software development and maintenance across the business, while maintaining consistent RF performance. DK8503 and DK8203 are AEC-Q100 certified and designed to be ASIL C compliant.

The Dukosi DK-NFLNK™ Evaluation Kit (EVK) and Graphical User Interface (GUI) is designed to enable battery pack developers and BMS designers to evaluate the advantages of Dukosi technology and discover its ease of integration into existing and future battery pack designs. It supports technology evaluation and initial proof-of-concept development across a growing range of BMS host processors and AFE devices.
