Dunkin' Donuts Invites Fans Into Its Kitchen For Its First-Ever Live Google+ Hangout To Crown Winner Of #DDTopChef Contest

CANTON, Mass., Dec. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- This holiday season, Dunkin' Donuts, America's all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, is bringing more cooks—and fans—into its kitchen, determining the winner of the  #DDTopChef Recipe Contest via the brand's first-ever live Google+ Hangout. Last month, inspired by its partnership with Bravo's "Top Chef," Season 11, Dunkin' Donuts challenged its social communities to submit a homemade recipe that includes at least one Dunkin' Donuts menu item. On Wednesday, December 11 at 9:30 p.m. EST, members of the Dunkin' Donuts Culinary Team will personally prepare and judge finalists' creations live from the Dunkin' Brands Test Kitchen via a Google+ Hangout on #DDTopChef Google+ page.

The #DDTopChef Recipe Contest was hosted across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. Starting on November 20, fans were invited to submit original recipes, along with a photo and hashtag #DDTopChef, that incorporate at least one Dunkin' Donuts product. During the December 11 live Google+ Hangout, Dunkin' Donuts chefs will prepare the six finalists' recipes, with Dunkin' Brands' Executive Chef and Vice President of Product Innovation Stan Frankenthaler announcing the grand prize winner live. All finalists in the #DDTopChef Recipe Contest will receive a $300 Dunkin' Donuts prize pack, and the grand prize winner will also receive $1,000 in cash.

Fans can watch the cooking competition amongst finalists from the #DDTopChef recipe competition on the #DDTopChef Google+ page starting at 9:30 p.m. EST. Participants who share their comments, questions, or votes for their favorite recipes during the Hangout with the #DDTopChef hashtag to @DunkinDonuts on Twitter will also be entered into a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $20 mGift. Fans can also tune in to the next episode of Bravo's "Top Chef," airing at 10:00 p.m./9:00c only on Bravo, during which Dunkin' Donuts will be making a special guest appearance.
