Duo Security Names Zack Urlocker Chief Operating Officer
Company Triples Revenue in 2014; Executive Team Expands to Tap High-Growth Management
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Feb. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Duo Security, a leading authentication solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Zack Urlocker as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Urlocker will lead product, marketing, sales, and customer success to help Duo Security accelerate its rapid growth.
In his previous role as COO at Zendesk, Urlocker launched the company's enterprise strategy and hired key sales and marketing executives, growing revenue by approximately 10x prior to its IPO in 2014. Urlocker has held senior executive positions at high-growth companies like Zendesk and MySQL, helping them achieve billion dollar valuations by disrupting mature technology markets like help desk software and database software.

Urlocker is a 25-year veteran of the technology industry. He has served as COO at Zendesk, EVP at MySQL in charge of marketing and engineering, vice president at Sun Microsystems, and vice president of marketing at webMethods. Urlocker has served on the boards of several venture-backed startup companies, including Revolution Analytics (acquired by Microsoft) and Pentaho. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Concordia University and an M Math and Computer Science from University of Waterloo.
