DVI Selected By Modesto Irrigation District For Full Deployment Of EDGE® Grid Optimization Platform

RICHMOND, Va., June 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- DVI, a Dominion company that offers technology to utilities to plan, manage and validate grid efficiency, announced today that it has been selected by Modesto Irrigation District (MID) to provide a number of advanced applications through the adoption of the EDGE^® software suite.  EDGE^® will be used in conjunction with the existing Silver Spring Networks advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) deployment to provide MID with advanced Conservation Voltage Reduction (CVR) and Volt/Var Optimization (VVO) capabilities.

EDGE^® is a modular and adaptive conservation voltage management solution enabling utilities to deploy incremental grid-side energy management that requires no behavioral changes or purchases by end-use consumers. EDGE^® provides significant and sustainable energy savings of as much as 4 percent through integrated planning, execution and validation of grid side energy efficiency management.
