DynamicOps Awarded U.S. Patent for End-to-End Management of Virtual and Physical Machines

BURLINGTON, Mass., May 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- DynamicOps, pioneer of the Operations Virtualization™ platform that enables unified cloud automation and management, today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued DynamicOps a patent that covers complete lifecycle management and self-service of virtual and physical machines.  The technologies covered in the patent form the foundation of the award-winning DynamicOps Cloud Suite.

The company unveiled that it was issued U.S. Patent No. 8,171,485 on May 1, 2012. Entitled, "Method and System for Managing Virtual and Real Machines," the patent includes 32 claims.  The wide-reaching claims cover the entire method of managing a virtual machine and presenting a self-service catalogue to users in a highly personalized way.  It includes lifecycle management for both virtual and physical machines over multiple platforms, using workflow engine to drive management, image storage and archiving, and decommissioning virtual machines, among other technologies.
