DENVER, May 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- E3 Consulting® (E3) served as Independent Engineer to lenders for the recent financing of Tenaska's Westmoreland Generating Station, a 925 MW natural gas-fired, combined-cycle power plant to be built near Pittsburgh, Pa. MUFG Union Bank N.A., BNP Paribas, Citigroup Global Markets, and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd. led the banking group for the $780 million financing.

Located in Westmoreland County, the facility is equipped with two Mitsubishi 501J combustion turbines, two heat recovery steam generators and one Siemens steam turbine. It will be fed by at least two major interstate gas pipelines. The Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County will supply water. Construction began earlier this year, with commercial operation targeted for late 2018. Details on development and financing can be found on Tenaska's website.

E3 is currently serving as Construction Monitor for the project.
