Eagle Ranch Receives Top Rating by Charity Navigator
National Charity Watchdog Ranks Eagle Ranch as "Exceptional" Non-Profit
CHESTNUT MOUNTAIN, Ga., Feb. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Eagle Ranch recently received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator in recognition of the Ranch's sound fiscal management. This is the top rating awarded by the national charity watchdog organization.
"Eagle Ranch executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and outperforms most other charities in America," noted Ken Berger, president and CEO of Charity Navigator, the largest charity evaluator in the United States. "This 'exceptional' designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Eagle Ranch from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust."
Nearly 80 percent of all donations go directly to serving children at Eagle Ranch, far exceeding the industry standard of 65 percent. Eagle Ranch, a children's home serving North Georgia and metro Atlanta, is a privately funded organization, relying upon individuals, businesses and foundations for all of its operational and capital needs. Since welcoming the first children in 1985, Eagle Ranch has been a debt-free organization, spending no money on development or program expansion until all funding is secured.
"The children entrusted to our care are our top priority, so we strive to operate on sound business principles," said Eagle Ranch Founder and Executive Director, Eddie Staub. "Because we are debt-free, our donors can be confident that their investment is going directly to help children in crisis."
Eagle Ranch's profile and rating can be found at CharityNavigator.org. Eagle Ranch also is accredited through the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA.org), which provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, fundraising and board governance.
