Early Viewers Salute the Quality of the Breakout Television Pilot "I Am Autistic" from FPR Studios
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Nov. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- After eleven months of research, development and production at FPR Studios (aka Flying Pig Ranch) the only U.S. television show dedicated to the autism community was released today for viewing by media acquisition executives. The show, to be offered as a daily one hour production, covers all aspects of the autism spectrum.
The show's autistic host Daniel Heinlein shows the face of autism as he presents a wide variety of people of all ages on the autism spectrum. The show also includes reports direct from autism researchers and scientists seeking the causes of the disorders.
Review copies were sent to a select number of professionals both in the autism and broadcasting community for their reaction and critical input. Among the responses:
"My family is among the 16 million Americans affected by Autism. This program is the right production at the right time. I especially liked the segments using cameras placed in the homes of autistic families; very moving. The producers at Flying Pig Ranch Studios are to be commended for their amazing work," says Kevin Gershan, Producer/Director, Entertainment Tonight / CBS Television Distribution.
"I applaud and thank FPR Studios for their high commitment to demonstrating the tremendous value to our society of people living with autism. This show talks about how people living with autism are able to reach for the highest levels of accomplishment in all they do," says Scott Badesch, Autism Society President.
