Easter Seals New York Races to Saratoga, and it's 'Wins for Kids' by a Nose!
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y., Aug. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Easter Seals New York is hosting its 3rd Annual 'Wins for Kids' event on Saturday, August 18th at the Saratoga Race Track. The event is an annual fundraiser to benefit Camp Colonie, a fully accessible summer camp that serves more than 68 children in the Capital District. Wins for Kids promises to be an exciting afternoon by the track, full of horse racing, cocktails, gourmet food stations, and an auction featuring fantastic items like the 'Kentucky Derby Package,' giving everyone the opportunity to bid (www.biddingforgood.com/eastersealsny).

Camp Colonie, serving the Capital District and beyond, is a recreational and educational camp for children with disabilities and their typically developing peers. The camp goes beyond traditional summer day camp activities by ensuring each camper's educational goals and objectives are addressed through a full-day, approved 'School Without Walls' program. This allows students with twelve-month Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to continue to have their educational and developmental needs met, while enjoying traditional camp activities. Licensed therapists also provide speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
At Wins for Kids, Easter Seals New York and Wilson Elser will also be presenting 'The Wilson Elser Community Achievement Award' to HANYS Solutions, in honor of their wonderful generosity and support they have given to Camp Colonie and Easter Seals New York.
