Easter Seals New York Tees Off 22nd Annual Billy Martin Golf Classic

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y., July 19, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Easter Seals New York will host its 22nd Annual Billy Martin Golf Classic this Tuesday, July 19, at Hollow Brook Golf Club. Over 120 golfers will participate in the event, creating a great day of friendly competition while raising funds for children and adults with disabilities and special needs.  

The day will begin at 9:00 a.m. with breakfast, some time on the practice range, and a putting competition, with the tournament officially kicking off at 11 a.m. The event will feature a reception, banquet dinner, auction, raffle, and award ceremony following the tournament. All proceeds from the event will benefit Easter Seals New York Programs in Hudson Valley, including Child Development Centers, an after-school program and a monthly Community Outreach Program.

Easter Seals New York has partnered with sponsors Entergy, Blank Rome LLP, Greenberg Traurig, and The Shaw Group to create a fantastic event. The tournament play will feature a putting contest, hole-in-one prizes, and a $50,000 JetBlue Challenge shootout. Celebrity athletes will be in attendance to lend their support to Easter Seals New York's mission, including OJ Anderson, MVP of SuperBowl XXV, New York Giants stars Stephen "TD Maker" Baker and Jim Burt, and New York Yankees World Series winner Mike Torrez.
