Mehler, MD, FACP, FAED, CEDS, a Denver-based internal medicine doctor specializing in treatment for the medical complications of eating disorders. Dr. Mehler has dedicated the past 25 years of his career to the research and medical care of patients suffering from the most severe eating disorders. Dr. Mehler is Founder and Medical Director of the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders at Denver Health, Glassman Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and Chief Medical Officer of Denver Health Medical Center. He has authored over 300 publications including the textbook, Eating Disorders: A Guide to Medical Care and Complications, and multiple articles on the medical complications of eating disorders. Dr. Mehler is a member and Fellow of the Academy of Eating Disorders as well as the Eating Disorders Research Society. He has lectured extensively on a national and international level on the topic. Dr. Mehler has been recognized as one of the "Best Doctors in America" for 13 years and multiple times by 5280 Magazine as "Top Internist in Denver."
