eBay Global Leader Barbara Hvasta Joins SecureBuy Board of Advisors

RIDGELAND, Miss., Oct. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- SecureBuy, a leader in global payment fraud prevention technology, today announces that eBay leader Barbara Hvasta has joined its Board of Advisors.  Presently, Ms. Hvasta is a leading voice at eBay, where she spearheads global billing and payments services for the group and subsidiaries including PayPal, StubHub and eBay Classifieds.

She possesses considerable experience in billing and financial product development, founded in familiarity with traditional and cutting edge payments systems.  "This is especially good news for SecureBuy, because Barbara brings to the table a very unique understanding of payments and billing systems," states Greg Wooten, CEO of SecureBuy.  Ms. Hvasta's background also includes strong leadership in business development and account management within the payments industry, where she has led teams in closing contracts with Fortune 500 clients. 

Previous roles include vice president leadership roles at premier organizations including US Bank, MasterCard International, the AARP, First Tennessee, and Visa.  Ms. Hvasta has renowned experience in developing innovative payments products and market growth internationally.  Her research, strategic planning, and business development acumen have consistently led to client growth in Asian, European and Latin American markets for her clients.  Additionally, Ms. Hvasta has won the MasterCard Platinum Award for New Business in Latin America. 

Ms. Hvasta also takes great pride in giving back to the community: she presently serves on the Education Committee of the Direct Response Forum, and is also a Merchant Board Member.  She is a member of W.net (Women's Network in Electronic Transactions), a member of the Board of Directors for the Austin chapter of the Arkansas Alumni Association, a member of the Junior League of Austin, and a member of eBay Women in Technology.  Ms. Hvasta graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication.
