ECG Expands Managed Care Division with New Principal

BOSTON, Dec. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- ECG Management Consultants, a national consulting firm working exclusively with healthcare providers, is pleased to announce that Scott Cullen, MD, has joined the firm's Managed Care Services (MCS) Division as a principal.

ECG principal and MCS division leader Terri Welter welcomed Dr. Cullen and spoke about the importance of care delivery transformation in the industry.

Dr. Cullen brings 23 years' experience in clinical delivery, management, and consulting to ECG, and has led work at some of the nation's top health systems and integrated delivery networks. He has led the development of strategy for population health transformation and value-based care for more than a dozen organizations, including the largest for-profit health system in the country.

Dr. Cullen began his career in clinical family medicine practice before building his own EMR solution and transitioning to consulting. Prior to joining ECG, he was the president of Advisory Services for Valence Health, where he built a $10 million business unit in three years and won a Best in KLAS award. He has helped numerous systems navigate the challenges of emerging payment and delivery models to manage populations successfully while maintaining viability.
