ECG Hires New Principal to Lead Merger and Acquisition Practice

CHICAGO, Nov. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- ECG Management Consultants, one of the nation's leading consulting firms serving health systems, hospitals, medical groups, and academic medical centers (AMCs), today announced that Hector Torres has joined the firm as principal and head of the Mergers, Acquisitions, and Partnerships practice. In his new role, Mr. Torres is responsible for leading M&A practice strategy, execution, and growth on a national basis. He is based in ECG's Chicago office.

Mr. Torres joins ECG with more than a decade of experience providing financial advisory services to healthcare organizations and companies nationwide, most recently working as a member of the M&A practice at Kaufman, Hall & Associates. His clients include national and multiregional health systems, AMCs, community hospitals, large physician practices and groups, health insurers, non–acute care providers, and capital providers to healthcare entities. Mr. Torres received his MBA in finance from the Syracuse University Whitman School of Management, his law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law, and his bachelor of arts in political science from the University of Central Florida.

At ECG, Mr. Torres will lead a practice that has conducted more than 360 M&A transaction advisory engagements with over 200 clients in 41 states in the past five years.
