EcoTools® Gives Consumers Chance To Select Charitable Contribution

GURNEE, Ill., Aug. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- EcoTools®, a Paris Presents Incorporated brand and a leader in eco-conscious personal care products, is pleased to announce the results of their second annual "EcoTools® Gives Back" campaign, an online platform that provides consumers the chance to support their favorite causes for a better planet and determine how the brand's annual contributions will be distributed.

Due to overwhelming success in 2011, the campaign was brought back to give consumers an easy and direct way to contribute to keeping the planet beautiful.  Through EcoTools®' relationship with EarthShare® and 1% for the Planet®, an alliance of businesses committed to leveraging their resources to create a healthier planet, consumers were able to decide for themselves how the brand's yearly donation will be divided between three EarthShare® organizations including the Jane Goodall Institute, The Conservation Fund and Ocean Conservancy.

• The Jane Goodall Institute – Works to protect the world's wildlife, specifically the chimpanzee population, while conserving habitats and raising awareness
• The Conservation Fund – Aims to protect America's outdoors and strives to build both a healthy environment and a healthy economy
• Ocean Conservancy – Seeks to keep the earth's oceans clean and free of pollution, while working to keep the coast clear by stopping trash before it reaches the coastline

From July 2 through July 31 2012, fans could visit the EcoTools® Facebook page or EcoTools® website to participate and vote for one of the organizations.

The results are in with a total of 101,179 campaign votes. The Jane Goodall Institute received 53 percent of the votes, Ocean Conservancy received 26 percent and The Conservation Fund received 21 percent. Each organization will be awarded the corresponding percentage of the EcoTools®' yearly EarthShare® and 1% for the Planet® donation.
