Ed Solar Joins Innovari As Executive Vice President Global Marketing & Sales

AUSTIN, Texas, June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Interactive Energy Platform developer, Innovari, announced today that it has named Ed Solar executive vice president global marketing and sales.  Innovari, a stealth startup focused on bringing together utilities and their customers to improve how the world uses energy, was founded in 2011.  Despite its stealth status, the addition of Solar continues the company's trend of attracting top industry experts with proven success of delivery and market development. 

Solar, a technology and utility industry veteran, joins the Innovari executive team from his role as Senior Vice President of Los Angeles based energy storage company CODA. Previously Solar served as CEO of Arcadian Networks and held executive roles at leading utility technology companies including CES International (now Oracle Utilities Network Manager), TSW International (now Ventyx an ABB Company).  Following his role at CES, Solar joined in the investment with private-equity backed Cellnet while taking a leading role in its growth and successful sale to Landis+Gyr. Solar attended the United States Naval Academy, graduating in 1983. He began his career serving as a U.S. Naval Aviator and as a consultant with Price Waterhouse.  Solar was previously named the Georgia marketing executive of the year by the Technology Association of Georgia.  He holds a Masters in Engineering Management from Florida Southern University.
