CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Edison Nation Medical, the premier healthcare innovation marketplace, today announced a worldwide search for product ideas related to first aid treatment. The most promising ideas uncovered during the three-month-long search will be presented to our major medical manufacturing partners, with the potential for future commercialization.  Invention ideas can be submitted through a secure, confidential portal at www.EdisonNationMedical.com/FirstAid now through September 1, 2015.

The objective of this search is to uncover ideas for products, devices, technologies or applications used in first aid treatment. These types of products can cover a broad array of categories that can include, but are not limited to:

• First aid kit products
• Athletic injury products
• Bandages, gauze and dressings
• Burn care
• Hot & cold therapy
• Sports medicine supplies
• Single unit (unitized) medical supplies
