Edward J. Kirk, Jr. is recognized by Continental Who's Who
BRANFORD, Conn., Aug. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Edward J. Kirk, Jr. is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Platinum Lifetime Member in recognition of his past roles as Director of Administration for Brookview Financial, Director of Business Operations and IT for Aqua Comfort Technologies, and Director of Marketing for Clean Air Action Corporation.
Mr. Kirk's recent experience includes the manufacture and distribution of heat pumps for swimming pools (specialized HVAC equipment) and private mortgage lending. His roles were in purchasing for HVAC and IT, marketing support including CRM administration and scripting, call centers including staffing and training, digital marketing including WordPress website development, and enterprise IT system selection and implementation including cloud migrations.
Mr. Kirk attended Boston College where he attained a Bachelors Degree in Math and Economics with departmental honors. He took graduate courses as an undergrad there. Mr. Kirk later attended a graduate executive education course "Implementing Strategy" at Wharton.
Mr. Kirk is currently a proactive volunteer in many local organizations: El Dorado Council #10 of the Knights of Columbus (webmaster), the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary (flotilla staff officer), James Blackstone Memorial Library (trustee), the Hon. W. Patrick Donlin Fourth Degree Assembly #2459 (webmaster), the Nat & Jack Farrell House (board member), and the Branford Yacht Club (reciprocity). He is past member and Secretary of two other local organizations: the Menunkatuck Audubon Society and St. Mary Parish Council. Finally, he is a graduate of the Men's Cornerstone Retreat at St. John Bosco Parish and a graduate of the Flagship program of Leadership Anne Arundel, a 9-month leadership class.
A distinguished scholar, Mr. Kirk has authored and taught a course on telework as an adjunct professor in the Advanced Technologies Curriculum at the Johns Hopkins Graduate School, and has been a judge at several of their Capstone Competitions. In addition, he edited the third edition of the Fundamentals of Real Estate Investing for Brookview Financial, and he co-authored Bell Atlantic's first ever Network Architecture Plan. He also passed an actuarial exam for Probability and Statistics.
Mr. Kirk was awarded the Community Trustee of the Year by the Flagship Class of Leadership Anne Arundel, and has earned other awards for his years of service in other volunteer organizations including the Mid-Atlantic Telecommuting Advisory Council and the Anne Arundel County High Tech Council.
When he is not working, Mr. Kirk enjoys biking and boating with his wife Linda, as well as visiting their children.
