The donation is in recognition of Global Handwashing Day on October 15, 2020, and will commence with a presentation at 10 a.m. EST, at Sprague Elementary School with Superintendent of Waterbury Public Schools, Dr. Verna D. Ruffin, and Vice President & General Manager, Eemax, Jens Bolleyer sharing the importance of handwashing to student health and hygiene.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the COVID-19 pandemic provides an important reminder that one of the most effective ways to stop the spread of germs and stay healthy is the simplest — handwashing with soap and water.
