Taking Google Maps as a base, data stored in the ERP system on service calls, employees and business partners, can be shown together on a map and can be updated asynchronously via the Cloud. This means that each managing clerk is always fully informed as to where their service technicians are currently located and which employees, for example, are available to deal with current service orders.

Pins can be used to locate the individual employees on the map and the color shows their appropriate status - red stands for absent (e.g. holiday), orange means that the employee is currently deployed and green signals availability.

Clicking a pin causes a window to open showing the detailed information stored. For example, the address of a business partner may be displayed, or the name and availability of employees or, in the case of a service order, details of which defect and customer are involved. Menu items are always located at the bottom of the information window, suggesting logical activity. Clicking the mouse could determine the nearest service employee, allocate service orders directly or insert route waypoints. To allow effective deployment planning, the solution not only supports navigation from one waypoint to the next, but also plans complete routes with various stop-offs.
