Elemental Expands Sales Team to Drive SDV Solutions into Unified Headends

PORTLAND, Ore., March 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Elemental Technologies, the leading supplier of software-defined video solutions for multiscreen content delivery, today announced that Todd Hinders has joined the company as vice president of sales for the Americas. Based in the Bay Area, Hinders leads sales efforts in the Americas where Elemental has a rapidly growing customer base, including major pay TV operators such as Comcast, DirecTV, and Globosat, as well as content owners such as HBO and Turner.

A veteran of the video software and encoding industries, Hinders will focus on the expansion of Elemental software-defined video (SDV) solutions in the Americas market as pay TV operators and content owners abandon rigid, hardware-based video processing solutions for the flexibility of SDV approaches. Hinders will lead North and South American sales teams charged with helping media enterprises leverage Elemental's complete suite of solutions to support the whole of the IP video delivery chain. This includes the company's unified video infrastructure solutions, which collapse statistical multiplexing functions for live linear operations into a single software-based architecture.

Previously, Hinders held sales positions with Loudeye (encoding.com), Maven Networks and ExtendMedia.
