Elie Hirschfeld Adopts A Central Park Bench

NEW YORK, May 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Manhattan real estate tycoon and President of Hirschfeld Properties, LLC, Elie Hirschfeld proudly announced he is making a contribution to the Central Park Conservancy and will soon dedicate a plaque on a park bench at the entry to the park at East 79th Street and Fifth Avenue. The Adopt-A-Bench program was established in 1986 as a permanent fund to maintain and endow the care of Central Park's more than 9,000 benches and their surrounding landscapes. To date, more than 3,000 benches have been adopted.

"As a lifelong New Yorker, I have supported the park for many years in appreciation of it being available to me and my children who regularly use it. I have been jogging the park for 30 years – it is my triathlon and marathon race training ground and such a special place for anyone who enters it. It's a token of appreciation for all that Central Park represents for New Yorkers," said Elie Hirschfeld.
