Elite Doctor Network Targets Florida for Medical Tourism

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- HelloMD (hellomd.com) announced today that Miami is the next city to be included in its elite doctor's network for medical tourism. This follows the successful selection and rollout of leading doctors from Los Angeles and San Francisco earlier this year. The company provides priority access appointments with top doctors from all major specialties.

Inbound (to the US) medical tourism is a $5 billion industry with an estimated 1 million patients each year travelling to the United States to access some of the world's best medical care. While much of that revenue has historically gone to major hospitals, new technologies – like Telehealth – have made it feasible for individual doctors in private practice to participate.
