Elsevier Announces the Launch of a New Journal: The Journal of Interprofessional Education & Practice (JIEP)

Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, announces the launch of the Journal of Interprofessional Education & Practice (JIEP), the official journal of the National Academies of Practice (NAP) and affiliated with the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC).

JIEP is a quarterly, online-only journal focusing on interprofessional healthcare topics, including education, practice, policy, policy makers and research. JIEP is devoted to the dissemination of high quality, peer-reviewed articles covering the full spectrum of interprofessional healthcare education, including first professional degree, post-licensure learners, practitioner continuing education and faculty development.

Topics covered in JIEP include:

• Clinical practice, interprofessional healthcare research, opinion, public policy and review

JIEP founding Co-Editors-in-Chief are Devin R. Nickol, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine at UNMC, for the interprofessional education (IPE) portion, and Antonio E. Puente, PhD, Professor of Psychology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, for the interprofessional practice (IPP) portion.
