Elvis Weekend Rocks Hard Rock Casino Sioux City

SIOUX CITY, Iowa, Feb. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- It was all about the King of Rock and Roll at Hard Rock Casino Sioux City this weekend, as the entertainment destination hosted the city's first-ever preliminary competition for The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. The heated competition was part of Hard Rock's first Elvis Weekend celebration held on Friday and Saturday.

Thirteen Elvis tribute artists took to the stage in Anthem to deliver energetic performances and get the packed crowds all shook up. Each performer gave a unique portrayal of the rock and roll legend, crooning his hits while clad in white jumpsuits and vintage blazers. After the final round of judging took place Saturday evening, Dwight Icenhower of Orlando, Florida came out on top. Icenhower will now go on to compete in the semifinals in Memphis during Elvis Week later this year for a chance to win $20,000.

The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest is the official search by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. (EPE) and Graceland for the best Elvis Tribute Artist. Preliminary rounds are currently being held in locations across the world, and this is the first time a preliminary round has been held in Sioux City.
