Elysium Health™ Launches Elysium Scholars, an Annual Scholarship Program that Supports New York City High School Seniors Pursuing an Education in the Sciences
Five $10,000 scholarships will be awarded for the 2018-2019 academic year, with the opportunity for annual renewal for up to four years
NEW YORK, Oct. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Elysium Health, Inc.,™ a consumer health company developing scientifically-sound natural health products, today announced that it will launch Elysium Scholars, a scholarship program for New York City high school seniors interested in pursuing an undergraduate degree in a scientific field at a full-time, four-year college or university. Elysium Health will award up to five $10,000 renewable scholarships beginning in 2018, with a lifetime maximum award amount of $40,000 per student.

We believe that encouraging young people to pursue a career in any scientific field is a critical step toward future breakthroughs and innovations that may have a meaningful impact on the overall health of our society."
Elysium Scholars will begin accepting applications February 1, 2018. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior from one of the five boroughs of New York City: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island. They must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale and/or an SAT score of 1300 or higher. Applicants must have demonstrated an interest in pursuing a scientific field of study, such as biology, behavioral science, chemistry, computer science, economics, engineering, geoscience, environmental science, mathematics, medical sciences, pharmacology, plant/animal science, physics, and social sciences. The application will include a 1,000-word essay.
