Ember Launches Newly Designed Temperature-Controlled Tumbler 2 for On-the-Go and Outdoor Use

New 16-ounce tumbler features a sleek design to fit any car cup holder and includes on-device temperature control, a dishwasher-safe design, and two lid options.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Ember Technologies, the global leader in temperature-controlled drinkware, launched Tumbler 2 today. The new 16-ounce tumbler features a slimmer, taller design that fits standard car cup holders, on-device temperature control and a top-rack dishwasher-safe build, making it easier than ever to enjoy coffee or other hot drinks on the go. Tumbler 2 builds on the foundation of Ember's original Travel Mug 2 and Tumbler, rounding out the lineup with a new option built around portability.

The redesigned Tumbler 2 body is slimmer and taller than the original Tumbler, built around the same portability that made Ember's Travel Mug 2 popular. Tumbler 2 keeps the original Tumbler's 16 ounces in a more versatile design, large enough to get through a soccer practice, a morning on the boat fishing, or a full shift on a job site without a refill.

Tumbler 2 adds new features Ember recently introduced with the recent Mug 3 launch, including on-tumbler temperature control. Owners can set their preferred temperature directly on the new Tumbler, or through the Ember app. One click sets 125 degrees Fahrenheit, and each additional click raises it five degrees, up to 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Indicator lights on the Tumbler 2 show the battery level while it charges on its coaster.

Like Mug 3, Tumbler 2 is also now top-rack dishwasher-safe. Every Tumbler 2 ships with a charging coaster and two lids, a leak-proof Handle Lid and a spill-proof Sliding Lid, so owners can pick whichever one fits what they're doing. The Handle Lid is built for carrying a drink before it's time to enjoy it without worrying about a leak. The Sliding Lid opens with one hand right away, behind the wheel. With the included lid on, a single charge powers the tumbler for up to two hours and 45 minutes.

Tumbler 2 replaces both the Travel Mug 2 and the original Tumbler in Ember's lineup. The Travel Mug 2 will remain available while supplies last.

Tumbler 2 is available today for $179 in black and Sandstone at ember.com and is also immediately available online and in-store at Target. The Tumbler 2 will be available on Amazon starting October 19.
