Embers Credit Union is Live with MANTL Loan Origination

MANTL Loan Origination momentum builds as Michigan-based credit union expands its relationship with MANTL to modernize lending and create one connected experience for deposits and loans

PLANO, Texas, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Alkami Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALKT) ("Alkami"), a digital sales and service platform provider for financial institutions in the U.S., today announced that Embers Credit Union (Embers), a Marquette, Michigan-based credit union, is live with MANTL Loan Origination. The launch supports Embers' goals of increasing lending automation, improving operational efficiency, and delivering a more streamlined experience for borrowers and loan officers.

The launch expands Embers' relationship with MANTL, which already supports Retail Account Opening online and in-branch. To date, Embers has raised nearly $28 million in deposits through the MANTL Platform, with account opening averaging approximately five minutes across its physical and digital banking channels. By adding lending to this foundation, Embers is creating one connected front door for origination across deposits and loans while creating a framework to scale more efficient, relationship-focused lending. Embers is initially using MANTL Loan Origination for credit card origination in the branch, and is expanding to auto, personal, and recreational vehicle loans online and in-branch.

Embers was part of the initial development partner cohort that collaborated with MANTL to expand its Platform to consumer lending. The cohort included more than 10 forward-thinking financial institutions that provided structured feedback, challenged legacy lending assumptions, and informed product design and functionality throughout development. Embers' input helped MANTL refine workflows around the day-to-day needs of borrowers and loan officers.
