Emmy Award-Nominated Television Producer Moves to Ruder Finn

NEW YORK, Nov. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Adding to an already impressive list of former executive level journalists on their team, Ruder Finn today announced that Maryam Ayromlou has joined the agency's New York office as Senior Vice President.  Ayromlou comes to Ruder Finn from CBS News/The Early Show, where she was the supervising producer, overseeing the planning of all interview-driven segments and garnering herself an Emmy nomination.

Utilizing her broadcast journalism experience of more than 16 years, Ayromlou will provide unique insight into how the broadcast media can help Ruder Finn's clients raise their profile and increase sales. Ms. Ayromlou has worked at some of the top networks including MSNBC, Fox News Channel, and CBS News. She has had an extensive and gripping career, from working with Tom Brokaw on assignment in Iran, to producing MSNBC's 2004 election coverage and presidential debates.

Ayromlou spent close to eight years at MSNBC as primetime senior producer, where she worked on a number of programs including "Countdown with Keith Olbermann." She was on loan to NBC News and traveled to Iraq for the start of the war in 2003 where she was field producing spots for Nightly News and the Today Show.  She also worked on "On Location with Ashleigh Banfield", where she traveled on the road for the search for Elizabeth Smart among other top news stories. She traveled to Iran on a half dozen occasions for NBC News, and covered the Presidential elections in Iran with Tom Brokaw during Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's rise to office. Ayromlou worked as a senior producer on MSNBC's documentaries and specials unit where she worked on prestigious programs like "Silicon Summit" hosted by Tom Brokaw as well as the network's coverage on the Presidential Inauguration and President Reagan's funeral.  At Fox News Channel, Ms. Ayromlou was one of the senior producers who helped launch "Happening Now" a fast-paced live two-hour daytime news program on the number one cable news network.
