SAN FRANCISCO and COSTA MESA, Calif., Oct. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ORACLE OPENWORLD 2012 -- Emulex Corporation (NYSE: ELX) today announced that it is working with Fusion-io to deliver integrated, customized I/O caching and connectivity solutions for tier 1 original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), significantly accelerating the performance of databases, data warehouses, heavily virtualized environments and private/hybrid clouds with improved throughput and application response time. The solution being demonstrated this week at Oracle OpenWorld consists of Emulex's newly announced LightPulse® LPe16000B series of 16Gb Fibre Channel (16GFC) Host Bus Adapters (HBAs), Fusion-io ioDrive2 PCIe-based flash memory connected to ION Data Accelerator software for caching and fast access to shared storage.
