BURLINGTON, Mass., June 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Endurance International Group (NASDAQ: EIGI), a leading provider of cloud-based platform solutions to help small and medium-sized businesses succeed online, today announced the appointment of Karen Williams as Senior Vice President, M&A Integration, and Sham Sao as Senior Vice President of Products.
Williams will manage the transition of new business units into the Endurance family, working closely with the Corporate Development team and Endurance's family of brands. She will be responsible for the integration of all acquisitions, ensuring the newly acquired business operations are folded into the portfolio of brands.
Williams said, "I'm looking forward to working with a team that understands the importance of a seamless onboarding and integration, both of which are essential to fully realizing an acquisition's potential."
"M&A has always been part of Endurance's strategy for addressing the large market opportunity in our industry," said Ron LaSalvia, Chief Operating Officer of Endurance. "I am confident that Karen's leadership in acquisition integrations will make Endurance stronger. She has great experience operating in a networked organization similar to ours and has proven that she can drive business transformation and effective organizational change."
Williams previously served as Director of Integration for IBM, where she led the integration of three key acquisitions: Ounce Labs, Green Hat, and Fiberlink. Williams was responsible for the daily operations of the business while ensuring a smooth and seamless integration into IBM for the acquired employees and customers. While there, she directed a cross functional, global team in successful integration, spanning all business functions. Williams holds a bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire.
Sao joins Endurance from Citrix, where he was responsible for Product Management, Product Marketing, and Strategy. While there, he also led Product Portfolio Management and Strategy initially across the largest division, and then subsequently across the $3 billion spectrum of Citrix products.
Sao has significant experience building, launching, and growing cloud product offerings. Prior to Citrix, Sao was at OneSource, where he was responsible for launching a new web-based offering that substantially grew unique visitors to the website. At Deploy Solutions, he was a critical member of the executive team that drove consistent revenue growth, resulting in the company winning a spot on the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 list for high-growth companies.
In Sao's new role as Senior Vice President of Products, he will build out and lead the overall Products function. This will include leading the Product Line Management and Product Marketing teams, as well as setting the strategic direction for Endurance's product portfolio.
Sao commented, "Small and medium businesses are the growth engine for the global economy, and Endurance is well positioned to help them build out their digital presence to take their businesses to the next level. I'm excited to be leading the Products function and looking forward to delivering innovative solutions that help SMBs exceed their growth goals."
Sao received a bachelor's degree from Yale University. He also attended Harvard Business School and received a JD from Harvard Law School.
"Sham is a strong addition to the Endurance team," said Joel Rosen, Executive Vice President, Product and Marketing.
